Tarsier, are the smallest primates on the planet and for the most part are all found within the Islands of Southeast Asia. They are nocturnal creatures and leave their dens inside large Fig Trees to hunt on small insects at night. They return to rest during the day.

In Tangkoko Nature Reserve Sulawesi, Indonesia, they can be found at dawn hunting on Grasshoppers within close to the safety of their Dens inside large Fig Trees. Tarsiers are curious and cautious as even a small grasshopper is a large meal for these smallest of primates. Tarsiers are agile, fast and have big eyes that allow them to see in low light.

IUCN Red List lists Tarsiers from vulnerable to critically endangered as their habitat decreases due to Human forest encroachment as well as to the ever changing global climate. Their vulnerability is closely tied in to the population of the insects they eat.
